Description:

Gorgeous 1968 Camaro RS-SS that still retains it's original warranty booklet/POP (protecto plate).  This is a very nicely restored Camaro that runs and drives very well.  This is an original LA built car that was shipped to Oregon, then the original owner moved to Ohio and brought the car with him.  I bought the car 2.5 years ago and the car currently resides in Northern California.

The car has the following options:

  • Black Hockey Stick Striping
  • Automatic Powerglide Transmission
  • Power Steering
  • AM/FM Radio (After Market)
  • Super Sport Option
  • Ralley Sport Option
  • Deluxe White Interior
  • Console
  • Spoilers (Front and Rear)
  • 3.07 Open Rear End

Motor

The car still retains its correct original motor that is VIN stamped on the front of the passenger side cylinder head and it reads as follows:

8L348526   V0625MU (June 25th, 1968 - MU=350CI/295HP Powerglide)

Block Casting Date: F148 (June 14th, 1968)

Carb - Rochester #: 7028212/Carb Base Plate: 0858 (58th day of 1968)

Intake Manifold Casting #: 3919803/Casting Date: D248 (April 24th, 1968)

Exhaust Manifolds

    LH  3892679

    RH  3890912

Distributor: 1111168   Date: 8E14 (May 14th, 1968)

Tranny Date Code: T8E 21D (Toledo Plant May 21st, 1968)

Build Date: 07C (3rd Week, July, 1968)

Exterior

This car has been re-painted in it's RARE original color (06) Covrette Bronze which was only offered the last few months of production.

I get so many compliments on the paint and color of this car, I would rate it a 9 out of a possible 10 due to some small chips here and there.  The car has had partial rear quarters replaced, but you would never know unless you stuck your head in the trunk and made a close inspection.  This car originally came with a white vinyl top but during the restoration it was decided to leave that vinyl top off, which I personally think was a very wise decision.

The ’68 Camaro Deluxe Interior is in my opinion the best looking of all the Camaro interiors.  This car retains it’s original dash pad, gauges, rear seat, door panels, seatbelts, console and glass, except the front windshield which has been replaced with LOF glass.  It has a re-production steering wheel in it currently (I have the original that goes with the car), it has an after market Am/FM radio (I do not have the original radio).  The front seat covers have been replaced, the carpeting has been replaced and the headline has been replaced.  The white interior in this car is stunning as it is off set by the bronze exterior.
