WC Vision and SCCA Pro Racing announced today that IMS Productions will produce the television broadcasts for the 2010 World Challenge® Championships. Each race, which will include segments from Internal Combustion Group, will air on Versus in HD.

Woodhouse Performance announced today that Montreal’s Kuno Wittmer will pilot the team’s No. 13 Dodge Viper Competition Coupe in the 2010 World Challenge GT Championship.

Cars resumed racing on Labor Day Monday at The Rolex Vintage Festival presented by BMW, as the weekend’s activities were brought to a close. Thousands of spectators lined the hills around Lime Rock Park to witness the eight entry groups compete on track in a series of 15-lap races.

Although official racing did not occur on Sunday at the Rolex Vintage Festival, thousands of spectators flocked to Lime Rock Park to witness an extraordinary display of vehicles that graced the main straight. Per agreements with the surrounding areas, racing is suspended on Sundays, but the Sunday in the Park Automobile Extravaganza allowed spectators to see some of the best cars in the world, in addition to the Lime Rock Car Show, Shelby Sable and the Automobilia Mall.

The Rolex Vintage Festival presented by BMW commenced its silver anniversary event on Friday with a series of practice laps by race groups throughout the day, followed by an honorary dinner to recognize motorsports pioneers and raise money for charitable organizations.

Beautiful weather and spirited competition continued during a busy final day at the 34th Rolex Monterey Historic Automobile Races presented by Toyota. Seven groups of vehicles, ranging in models from the late 1940s to the early 1980s raced 10 laps each during the afternoon after a series of warm-up laps in the morning.

Sunny skies prevailed while history repeated itself on Saturday at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca during the 34th Rolex Monterey Historic Races presented by Toyota. The day’s highlights included a win by Pete Lovely, this year’s “Legend of Laguna Seca” honoree, who was victorious 50 years after taking the first-ever win at the track in 1957.

The United States Endurance Racing Association hosted the opening round of the Spec Racer Challenge last weekend at Mosport International Raceway. The series, which features SCCA Enterprises Spec Racer Fords, is an exciting spec series with close racing in purpose build sports racing machines.

The United States Endurance Racing Association announced today that Hoosier Tires will serve as the Official Tire Supplier of the USERA Spec 9 Championship. Hoosier will become the spec tire for the Championship and will provide at-event support to USERA teams.
