USERA Spec 9 Championship Will Race on Hoosier Tires

DANVILLE, VA. (February 27, 2007) – The United States Endurance Racing Association announced today that Hoosier Tires will serve as the Official Tire Supplier of the USERA Spec 9 Championship. Hoosier will become the spec tire for the Championship and will provide at-event support to USERA teams.
Hoosier has been involved at all levels of sports car racing, from support programs for club racing through their premier program, the Grand-Am Rolex and Koni Challenge endurance series.
"Our Spec 9 Championship is positioned as a feeder series for drivers moving from club racing on their way to endurance racing in Porsche sports cars,” said Ken Grammer, President of USERA. "Hoosier is already the spec tire for the Grand-Am Rolex and Koni Challenge series, and the Spec 9 Championship is serving as a support series for three Grand-Am events in 2007. Having Hoosier as our series tire supplier is a great fit for drivers planning to progress from USERA to Grand-Am’s Koni Challenge Series."
The next event on the 2007 USERA Spec 9 Championship calendar in April 22 at Iowa Speedway on the Grand-Am Koni Challenge event weekend. The Championship includes races at exciting sports car venues including Mosport International Raceway, Watkins Glen, Mid-Ohio and Virginia International Raceway.
