MOLECULE Race Smart, Keep It Clean Move of the Race Award

April 15th, 2008/Benicia, Ca. – The Northern California based MOLECULE Labs, Inc. and its line of Nomex® fire suit care products, the four-step MOLECULE™ Technical Fabric Care System, proudly announced its partnership with the 2008 Nitto Tire United States Touring Car Championship (USTCC) series sanctioned by the National Auto Sports Association.
MOLECULE will take on the award title for the USTCC series’ the MOLECULE Race Smart, Keep It Clean Move of the Race Award. The award will go to the USTCC driver/competitor that executes the most impressive, cleanest maneuver, pass or move on a competitor to advance, gain or re-gain his/her position during race competition. The recipient of the award will receive a complete MOLECULE Nomex® fire suit Care Kit, the MOLECULE™ Technical Fabric Care System.

MOLECULE is not only a USTCC partner but also a competitor, backing the 2008 Nitto USTCC Rookie season campaign of Rod Rojas behind the wheel of the #48 MOLECULE/Go Pro Camera/Team Cobalt California Chevy Cobalt SS. MOLECULE and Rojas is currently in third place in overall point standings and second in the rookie of the year standings after two rounds of competition.
The first MOLECULE Race Smart, Keep It Clean Move of the Race Award of the 2008 Nitto Tire USTCC was given to Andy Hope driver of #8 Sports Compact Car Magazine/Spoon Sport/Opak Racing JDM Acura RSX-R during the Nitto Tire USTCC Infineon Raceway Round 2 race on April 13th, 2008. Hope who battled his way through the field and finally made a last lap move and pass on 2007 USTCC Driver Champion Curt Simmons behind the #49 Cornwell Tools/Sunnyvale Dodge/MBO Racing Group Dodge SRT-4 on his way to his first ever USTCC victory.
