Auto-X/Track Days??

You guys missed a good event this last weekend at Roebling.
4 - 30 min. runs on Sat. and 6 - 30 min. runs on Sunday!

Anthony, Ivan, and I will not be at the Darkside Event that Anthony mentioned earlier.
The three of us (if I get off the waitlist) will be at the Chin event at Sebring.

One reason why other chapters near us have events every year is because they are much closer to popular tracks: Peachtree - Road Atlanta, Sunshine - Sebring. There are not a lot of events at these tracks so it's easy to fill them up (Peachtree has a waitlist for every event). Our closest track is Roebling and there is no shortage of event at Roebling. It becomes hard to fill an event at Roebling when there is another event the weekend before and the weekend after and the weekend after that, etc. (not to mention that fact that is rains at our event EVERY YEAR!).
And, as Anthony said, the local young BMW guys seem to have no desire to do track days, they would rather go to parking lots and stare at each other.
We have a pretty good group of guys that like to attend track days together, email me and I'll keep you in the loop when we go again.

As far as AutoX, why reinvent the wheel? If that is your thing, there are plenty of local events between SCCA and the Corvette guys.

I agree with Mark, Davis seat cover has been repairing upholstry for years. They have been doing work for me for over 15 years and never a complaint.
If you duct tape the blue tarp over the passenger and back seats it makes the car look like a classic roadster.

I stopped by the event this Saturday the 13th. Great turn out, some fantastic cars, and everyone was having fun. Saw 6 of our chapter members there. Reminded me of our chapter events in years past. I will be at the next one and hope more First Coast chapter members show up. Great time.

You should be fine with standard cleaning solvents and a good stiff brush. If not a gently and judiciously applied wire wheel on a not so high speed drill will do it.

Thanks to all the volunteers and students who came out for yesterday's school. The morning session was great, however due to lightning we had to cancel the afternoon session. I look forward to seeing everyone at the Fall schol in November. A huge THANK YOU to our creative instructors for obtaining the cones.
