hi there mate i had the same dilema a while back and was advised strongly to only apply a bolt on turbo if i was serious about modding my performance as it can be very unstable on a stock engine. I was told that for the money it makes ALL the difference but apparently you would be advised also to uprate/renew your piston rings, head gasket etc and even performance oil would help! Sounds far fetched i know but this is what i was told by a few performance garages. Turbos are very demanding and although you could run them with a standard ecu i was also reccomended to get mine tuned afterwards.

Do you have other mods on your focus? How have they helped or hindered your cars performance? Cheers, Danny.
you could use the 302 because they have a lot of bottom end torque. But I would put in an 5.4 instead and if you can get one from a mustang cobra thats even better because it has the 32 valve engine. It depends on what you want.
