Brad,

First of all let me say I'm still a newbie(only 2 autox experience so far), so I can't really say if its accurate enough for skill honing tool. I'm doing this more for my gadget fetish, as for driving skill I can still learn more just by listening/talking to driver coach.

unfortunately I was a bit disorganized last time and didn't video all my run and log.
I'll play around during the next test and run,I hope its more relax atmosphere so I can setup the gadget better. If all goes II'll post the result to youtube

I don't think I was being too assertive (I actually said "thank you"). I was talking to him for about a half an hour at the event and it was my idea for him to post them online and post a link at JustRacing. No worries, but how someone chooses to share their photos is pretty much up to them. One member publicly objected to my pricing last year, so I stopped taking photos of his car. I don't know if that satisfied his objections, but I am sure it simplified his purchase decision.

FWIW, I use Adobe Lightroom along with an export plug-in called Mogrify. This gives me a tremendous amount of control over watermark appearance and placement. I pay for a 'pro' subscription with Smugmug, so if I publish full resolution images to my gallery it will manage watermarking and image protection for me on top of otherwise clean (and therefore salable) images.

Selling some stuff to lighten the load somewhat. Hope its ok to post here.

Set of four 17x10 BBS motorsports e26 wheels. Finish on the centers isn't perfect, but there is no rash or or bends or anything other than some paint chips. Was hoping to put these on my e36, but I think my 9" set will have to do for now... I do also have a set of 1" lips to convert them to 9" wheels, not sure if I want to sell those or keep them for spares however. I weighed one of the wheels, and it was 17.6# on a shipping scale (a 10" wheel, not a 9"). Backspace is about 6.7" and it fits in the rear of an e36 pretty nicely, or at least it appeared to with no tire on it. Will require spacers in the front, 16mm was too much, you may be able to use a 12mm. Also the mounting pads are very thick, so you will probably need very long bolts or a stud kit. $2500

The tires are Yokohama A032R, 255-40-17, build date 0303 on all four tires. Bought from Phil's Tire, plenty of tread left, stored in my garage out of sunlight, no extreme temps, etc. I'd like $200 for them.

BBS RM, bolts removed to replace the bent lips. I was told when I bought them that the barrels were true and round. I took the bolts out and never got around to buying replacement lips, so they are still together. I have all of the bolts (soaking in WD-40) and four centercaps (minus the BBS logos). 15x6.5 et33 RM012, standard issue RM in what looks like original paint. The lips are bent (more than just a ding, would not hold air) and would need repair or replacement. I'd like $600.

Hal, I was manual scoring and from memory, which is hazy because that run group was chaos with timing problems, handset problems, your fastest elapsed run had a cone at the beginning out of sight of the van. Could have been the first corner or the corner at the end of the slalom.

Do your tires move around under the rim during hard cornering? Can you get that camera angle so close to the body?

So further experimentation yesterday.. I started the practice runs at 41psi front and 40 rear (approx to cold).. Pressure went up 2 psi after the first run and I reduced it back down.

From the chalking I was rubbing off all the chalk except the sidewalls.

As an experiment, after 4 runs I moved it even down further to 39/38 psi. Then I found the chalk rubbing off the side walls.

So if the rule is to run the lowest possible pressure without rubbing the sidewall, then I think 41/40 hot seems to be best for these hankooks.

So Hal asked a good question as I was leaving. "When is it pushing?" There are a couple of answers to that and my own theories as why;

1. If I braked too late (read abs engaged), it would pushing from turn in. I believe this is just over driving it and the only answer is "brake earlier, get to neutral balance before turn in".

2. Sometimes it would start to push mid-corner. Now I believe I was at neutral throttle, but I can only imagine I was actually coming on the throttle too early causing the push.

One last comment.. Who is designing the course with the lovely sweepers.. Its just too much fun to hand the tail out.. I am only human..

Hi Roger...Jeff Roberts recently re-classified his car for this month's event only, but his previous 3 events are all in AA class, not AAA. Thought it was odd he was in AAA for session 3.
